When you need high-quality lifting hooks to build your chain sling or for use in hoists and other types of rigging applications, Advantage Rigging has got you covered. Our hooks come in a variety of sizes, types, and grades suitable for a wide range of uses, from transport to lifting.
Some of the most popular hooks we carry are sling hooks, grab hooks, transport hooks, and foundry hooks. We also offer locking hooks and swivel hooks as well. Custom hooks are also available as needed. If you find yourself needing a hook not featured on our site, just let us know.
All of our hooks are made from alloy steel and are built in compliance with OSHA standards. Our products are available in 80 and 100 grades except for our clevis positive lock hook which only comes with a strength grade of 100. Replacement parts are available when you need to repair your hardware.
As with any rigging equipment, it's important to choose the right type of hook to ensure the safety and efficiency on the job. Our 100 grade lifting hooks offer superior strength compared to 80 grade models, making them recommended for very heavy loads. For instance, our 80 grade 3/4" clevis grab hook only has a rated capacity of 28,300 pounds, while the 100 grade model has a higher working load limit of 35,300 pounds. Larger sizes also have higher rated capacities.
The style of the hook is another important consideration when it comes to safety. When the job poses no threat on the safety of personnel or nearby objects, open hooks such as grab hooks and foundry hooks can be used. But for overhead lifting applications, self-locking sling hooks or hooks with a latch are recommended to ensure that the object being lifted stays attached to the sling.
Aside from our lifting and transport hooks, we also offer other rigging supplies including lifting chains in grade 80 and 100, as well as fittings and shackles to help you build your sling. We at Advantage Rigging strive to provide you with everything you need for your rigging applications so you don't have to go through the trouble of finding the supplies you need elsewhere.
