When you move a heavy load under harsh conditions, the choice in sling material is usually going to be a chain sling. Our grade 80 chain sling offers supreme durability. The grade 80 chain is made from a metal alloy that is strong enough for you to rely on time after time. In addition to the extreme durability of chain slings, they also offer flexibility that makes it fast and easy to rig up materials of any shape safely. We offer chain slings in both grade 80 and grade 100, both with OSHA approval for use of lifting overhead loads that fall within stated load limits. To increase the safety of your job site, you may want to follow the example of many companies which purchase the grade 100 chain sling but label it as a grade 80 chain sling so that the grade 80 lower limits are followed.
Chain slings offer many advantages when rigging under rugged conditions. Not only are they the most obvious choice for use in harsh environments, but they are also the most cost-effective. While other materials that are used with abrasive materials quickly show wear, our chain slings are resistant to showing signs of wear with use under these conditions. You can choose the grade 80 chain in the single, double, triple or quad leg configuration for your needs with the reach capacity of between 5’ and 10’. We also have the capacity to custom fabricate to nearly and length of configuration you require for the job. A Grade 80 chain sling can be purchased in a range of sizes from 9/32” to 1” while the Grade 100 slings range in link sizes of 9/32” to 7/8”. The grade 80, 1” material in the single leg sling configuration offers a maximum vertical load capacity of 47,700 pounds while maximum capacity in the grade 100 material of 7/8” offers up to a maximum vertical load of 42,700 pounds when the chain sling is used as a single leg configuration.
The chain slings we offer at Advantage Rigging are of the highest quality and of the ultimate durability. The competitive price means that you always get a great value. We can custom fabricate any of our chain slings to meet the rigging needs you have on any occasion. You can also enjoy the benefit of being able to replace parts or repair chain slings rather than replacing the entire piece of equipment when it does wear out.
