Lifting Slings come in a variety of types. The most popular are Eye and Eye Slings, Endless Slings, and Poly Slings. All styles are designed to serve the same purpose and offer various ways to lift items.

For example, Eye and Eye nylon lifting slings will show weigh holds for vertical hold, basket hold, and choker hold. The vertical hold attaches one end to the item that needs to be lifted, while the other is connected to the support. The basket hold, on the other hand, makes use of both eyes to support an object, distributing the weight evenly between the two ends. Finally, the choker hold is used to hold larger items by slipping one eye into the other to create a bigger loop. It should be noted that each hold has a different weight limit, which is why planning ahead is the best choice when buying a lifting sling.

Our nylon slings are fairly lightweight in comparison to their high working load limits, making them an ideal choice for a wide variety of situations. A durable, well-constructed nylon sling can stand up to a wide range of chemicals and harsh substances, including weak alkalis, seawater, determents, crude oil, ketones, hydrocarbons, ethers, dry cleaning solvents, alcohols, strong alkalies, and aldehydes. However, nylon lifting slings cannot be used with acids or with bleaching agents as they will compromise the integrity of the sling’s structure. Their wide range of uses makes them the most popular choice in nylon straps used for lifting in all types of industrial applications.

We offer 1" to 12" wide slings on both nylon sling types. For additional load bearing, our Eye and Eye Slings are available from 1 to 4 ply while our Endless Slings are offered in 1 and 2 ply. The number of plies determines the thickness of the nylon lifting sling, which, in turn, affects the amount of weight the sling can support.
